Configuring Bing Ads

Learn how to connect and export data from your Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) accounts with SyncRange.

Overview

Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) provides data about your search and audience campaigns. By connecting your Bing Ads accounts through your Microsoft account, you can export this data to Google Sheets or BigQuery for analysis, reporting, and optimization—using the same export structure as our Google Ads integration.

Prerequisites

Before you can configure Bing Ads exports, make sure you have:

Adding Bing Ads Accounts

To export data from Bing Ads, you first need to select which advertising accounts to connect. From your Connections or the export builder, choose Bing Ads and your Microsoft account, then add the Bing Ads accounts you want to use. You can add multiple accounts and create separate exports for each.

Creating Bing Ads Exports

Once your Bing Ads accounts are connected, you can create exports that send data to Google Sheets or BigQuery:

  1. Navigate to the Export Builder from your dashboard
  2. Click "Create New Export"
  3. Select "Bing Ads" as the data source
  4. Choose the Bing Ads account you want to export from
  5. Select a Google Sheet or BigQuery destination
  6. Configure the export settings (name, date range, report types, dimensions, and metrics)
  7. Set up a schedule for the export
  8. Click "Create Export" to save your configuration

For detailed instructions on creating exporters, see our Creating Data Exporters guide.

Bing Ads Export Settings

When configuring a Bing Ads export, you can customize what data is exported:

Basic Settings

Configure the fundamental settings for your export:

  • Export Name: A descriptive name to identify your export
  • Date Range: Last day, last 7 days, last 30 days, or last 90 days

Report Types

Bing Ads exports are organized by report type, similar to Google Ads. Available report types include:

  • Campaign Performance
  • Ad Group Performance
  • Keyword Performance
  • Ad Performance
  • Search Query Performance
  • Geographic Performance
  • Product Dimension Performance (for shopping campaigns)

Dimensions and Metrics

For each report type, you can select dimensions (e.g. Date, Campaign Name, Keyword) and metrics such as Impressions, Clicks, Spend, CTR, Conversions, and Revenue. You can choose to append new data or replace existing data for each report tab.

Destinations

Bing Ads exports use the same shared destinations as other SyncRange exporters:

  • Google Sheets: Data is written to tabs in a Google Sheet (requires a connected Google account and at least one sheet).
  • BigQuery: Data is loaded into tables in your BigQuery dataset (requires a connected Google account and a BigQuery destination).

You can export to Sheets only, BigQuery only, or both for the same Bing Ads export.

Troubleshooting

Account Not Appearing

If your Bing Ads account does not appear: verify you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that has access to the account in Microsoft Advertising, and that the account is active.

No Data in Exports

If exports show no data: check that campaigns were active in the selected date range, that you selected at least one metric per report type, and that the account has impressions or clicks in that period.
