SyncRange can email you when an export fails or succeeds. Settings are per export and work the same on syncrange.com and in the SyncRange app inside Shopify admin.
Notifications apply to scheduled runs and to manual Run now / once-off runs. You do not need an active recurring schedule for alerts to send.
Plan-limit skips (for example monthly row usage) are separate from failures. They show differently in run history and use their own email, sent at most once per team per calendar month. See View exporter logs.
Settings are shared for that export whether you change them in Shopify or on syncrange.com. See SyncRange in Shopify Admin.
Choose which people on your SyncRange team receive emails for this export. If notifications are on and you have not picked anyone yet, SyncRange defaults to you.
You can add addresses outside your team (for example a client or agency inbox). Rules:
If an export runs more than once an hour (for example every 15 or 30 minutes) and success notifications are on, SyncRange groups successful runs into a summary email (at most about once per hour) instead of emailing after every run. Failure alerts are still sent for individual failures, subject to normal rate limits.
Open the bell settings for the export and clear both When an export fails and When an export succeeds, then Update and close. The bell icon appears quieter when no notification types are active.
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| No email after a failed or successful run | Confirm the matching toggle is on, recipients are selected or confirmed, and check spam. Plan-limit skips use a different email than failures. |
| External address still pending | Open the confirmation email and use the link. Saving the modal again will not resend while status is pending. |
| Cannot add an external email | Use a valid address format. You may have reached the per-export external limit, or the address may already be listed. |
| Settings look outdated after save | Close and reopen the bell modal. SyncRange reloads the latest settings each time you open it. |
